this interesting folk tale is taken from Sushma Gupta,s Book; https://www.prabhatbooks.com/ethiopia-ki-lok-kathayen-1-folk-tales-of-ethiopia.htm see also; https://www.rachanakar.org/2017/08/1-20.html होशियार पत्नी इथियोपिया के एक गॉव में एक पति पत्नी रहते थे। वे अपना काम बड़ी मेहनत और ईमानदारी के साथ करते थे परन्तु कभी किसी गरीब को दान में एक पैसा भी नहीं देते थे। उनके कोई बच्चा भी नहीं था सो उनका खर्चा भी बहुत कम था सो उनका काफी पैसा बच जाया करता था। एक दिन पति बाजार गया तो उसने एक गाय देखी। गाय तन्दुरुस्त और बड़ी थी सो उसने उसे खरीद लिया। वह गाय उसने पचास डालर की खरीदी। बाद में उसने अपनी पत्नी के लिये एक डालर की एक मुर्गी भी खरीदी और घर वापस आ गया। पत्नी इन दोनों को देख कर बहुत खुश थी क्योंकि गाय खूब दूध देती थी और मुर्गी रोज अंडे। एक रविवार को पति अपने चर्च के पादरी से मिलने गया। और बातों के साथ साथ उन दोनों ने उस दूध के बारे में भी बात की जो उनकी गाय देती थी और उन अंडों के बारे में भी बात की जो उनकी मुर्गी देती थी। पादरी ने कहा “तुम अमीर तो हो पर बहुत ही मतलबी

story from Navbharat times; link; https://navbharattimes.indiatimes.com/astro/holy-discourse/moral-stories/-/amp_articleshow/2513216.cms                         Navbharat Times सही कीमत पुराने जमाने की बात है। एक किसान अपने खेत में हल चला रहा था। कुछ दूर चलने के बाद उसका हल एक पत्थर से अटक गया। जब किसान ने जोर लगाया तो वह पत्थर अपनी जगह से हट गया। किसान थोड़ा सुस्ताने के लिए रुका। उसके पैरों में उसके जूते की कील चुभी तो उसने उसी पत्थर से उसे ठोंकना शुरू किया। तभी उधर से गुजर रहे एक राहगीर की नजर उस पत्थर पर पड़ी। वह एक जौहरी था। उसने पहचान लिया कि यह पत्थर दरअसल हीरा है। वह ठहर गया। उसने किसान को बातों में लगाकर पत्थर खरीदने की इच्छा प्रकट की। किसान आश्चर्य में पड़ गया। उसे समझ में नहीं आया कि यह आदमी इस अनगढ़ पत्थर को क्यों खरीदना चाहता है। पर उसे इससे क्या मतलब था। उसने सोचा पत्थर के बदले जो मिल जाए बहुत है। किसान ने पांच रुपये में वह पत्थर उस जौहरी को दे दिया।  पांच रुपये में ही लाखों का हीरा पाकर वह जौहरी तेजी से घर की ओर चला। वह उसे देखने के लिए उतावला

Prof. B.S.PATHAK - an excellent personality.

While in Ethiopia, through the contact of Prof Jain, I came across Prof Pathak in a get together party hosted by Prof. Jain. Intoduced to each other and I came to know that he is from PILANA- a town near to Chandpur and my town JHALU and he came to me from Jhalu. He got very much intested in me and later very often visited each other on many occasions. Prof. Pathak was working as a FAO Expert in Ethiopia. A very simple, modest, knowledgeable person. He was always very kind , caring and affectionate to me as he I was his some very near relative. गधे की मजार [Road-side ki her qabar per aaj zabardast business ho raha hai] एक फकीर किसी बंजारे की सेवा से बहुत प्रसन्‍न हो गया। और उस बंजारे को उसने एक गधा भेंट किया। बंजारा बड़ा प्रसन्‍न था गधे के साथ। अब उसे पेदल यात्रा न करनी पड़ती थी। सामान भी अपने कंधे पर न ढोना पड़ता था। और गधा बड़ा स्‍वामीभक्‍त था। लेकिन एक यात्रा पर गधा अचानक बीमार पडा और मर गया। दुःख में उसने उसकी कब्र बनायी, और कब्र के पास बैठकर रो रहा था कि एक राहगीर गुजरा। उस राहगीर ने सोचा कि जरूर किसी महान आत्‍मा की मृत्‍यु हो गयी है। तो वह भी झुका कब्र के पास। इसके पहले कि बंजारा कुछ कहे, उसने कुछ रूपये कब्र पर चढ़ाये। बंजारे को हंसी भी आई । लेकिन तब तक भले आदमी की श्रद्धा को तोड़ना भी ठीक मालुम न पडा। और उसे यह भी समझ में आ गया कि यह बड़ा उपयोगी व्‍यवसाय है। फिर उसी कब्र के पास बैठकर रोता, यही उसका धंधा हो गया। लोग आते, गांव-गांव खबर फैल गयी कि किसी महान आत्‍मा की मृत्‍यु हो गयी। और गधे की कब्र किसी पहूंचे हुए फकीर की समाधि बन गयी। ऐसे वर्ष बीते, वह बंजारा बहुत धनी हो गया। फिर एक दिन जिस सूफी साधु ने उसे यह गधा
